I've heard of guys using a 10k and yours using a 24k, but never seen anyone using a 50k. Does a higher rating just allow you to mix in more mono sound? I've tried hooking up the wires to legs and to the holes. Any idea what I am doing wrong?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4494498437533304450.post-51482382686233269242015-12-14T09:15:33.548-08:002015-12-14T09:15:33.548-08:00Hi, I can't find the right potentiometer. Before I had a y splitter running both of the same signals out of the one audio out port on NES which sounded good this just basically splits it not sure yet which I like best both sound pretty good.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4494498437533304450.post-35026265888131710692015-09-16T09:52:37.028-07:002015-09-16T09:52:37.028-07:00NoNoRetro Fixeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07398221620016185889noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4494498437533304450.post-38268754421379473102015-09-16T09:49:54.176-07:002015-09-16T09:49:54.176-07:00Checking out the Nintoaster build on youtube, you ...Checking out the Nintoaster build on youtube, you can apparently get away without the RF. A video amp is needed, but can be fashioned with a simple 2N4401, a 220 ohm and a 33 ohm resistor. Audio can apparently be run without amplification, but it'll come out quieter. That's up to you.

From test footage, it doesn't seem to affect it either way. If your RF modulator was screwed up like mine where it would warp the image, it probably would fix that.

Sauce:
https://youtu.be/YDGR2MiCyYsAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4494498437533304450.post-83207864943831093592015-08-13T00:45:34.685-07:002015-08-13T00:45:34.685-07:00Since the RF modulator in the Frontloading NES is ...Since the RF modulator in the Frontloading NES is also designed to output Composite - removing the unit would require you to build a video amplifying circuit. You'd need to buy a 2SA933 transistor, a coupole 220uf 6.3v capacitors, and a 100 ohm, and 300 ohm resistor... I think.

Then you would have to know how to assemble that onto a PCB, and connect that to your NES. You would also need a separate Audio Amplifier in order to get any sort of sound out of the console.

To answer your question. No it would not improve video quality. In fact - you'd lose the ability to even output video from the console.Zeke Ortizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13229877643023143363noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4494498437533304450.post-49899347847712028102014-08-21T15:21:16.937-07:002014-08-21T15:21:16.937-07:00Hello.
